Jeremy Rinkel is a published author and researcher in the fields of globalization, technology, and education. He believes that education is the key to solving world challenges. Before entering the field of education, Mr. Rinkel worked as Associate Director for Central IL Tourism, Marketing Director for Eagle Marketing, a business publication, and in advertising sales with the Effingham Daily News. At Central Illinois Tourism, he was responsible for strategic planning, as well as helping small communities develop tourism “action” plans. During his time in the business world, he noticed young people graduating without the communication, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills needed to be successful in the world today. In addition to teaching High School English and Speech, Mr. Rinkel is an adjunct instructor at Kaskaskia College. In August of 2010, he completed his Masters Degree in Educational Policy with specialization in Globalization at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. In May of 2011, Rinkel was chosen by Scholastic to be an Online Teacher Advisor for grades 9-12 during the 2011-2012 school year. |
